Macular Degeneration - A New Hypothesis for Treatment
My expertise in restorative medicine has allowed me to approach macular degeneration from a new perspective that builds on what is known. We know that vitamins and minerals are useful to slow down the macular degeneration process. What is new is that restoration of our hormones can also benefit the macula as well.
As we get older, our bodies do not produce enough hormones and this is especially true in the case of macular degeneration patients. As a result, the macula attempts to create its own hormones which causes the macula to retain cholesterol. This is so because cholesterol is the building block of hormones. Over time we believe process leads to small whitish lesions in the macula called Drusen. The Macular Program was designed to measure and restore hormones to an optimal level so that your macula has the hormones it needs to properly function. This may slow the accumulation of drusen in the macula and may slow, stop or reverse the progression of the disease.
This video explains this concept. The logic and common sense of wellness medicine for macular degeneration is self evident, in our opinion. We published our work on this subject. This paper is available to you for download.
